Depth

Depth is how much liquidity a pool holds, measured from its reserves. On Nacre it only goes up, and every coin’s page shows it.

How depth is measured

A pool’s depth is √(token reserve × quote reserve), the square root of its constant product. A trade moves the reserves along the curve without changing that product; the fee the pool keeps adds to the reserves and raises it. With the liquidity locked, nothing can lower it.

The engine reads every graduated pool’s reserves after each swap, straight from the chain, and keeps the whole history.

Layers

Each UTC day’s added depth is one layer. A coin’s pearl draws them as rings around the nucleus it graduated with, newest at the rim, and its page lists them beside the depth now, the growth since graduation, the last 24 hours and the fees compounded so far.

The depth gauge

The gauge shows how far a buy of a fixed size moves the price, fee included, now and on the day the pool graduated. SOL pools use buys of 1 and 10 SOL; a stock pool uses buys of about $100 and $1,000 in its stock. As layers are laid, the same buy moves the price less.

1 SOL buy, day one
2.35%
10 SOL buy, day one
24.69%

The board’s ranking

The board ranks graduated pools by how much deeper they got in the last 24 hours, and can sort by growth since graduation or by volume instead.

Your holdings

Holdings shows each coin a wallet holds and how much its pool has grown since that wallet’s first buy, or since graduation for coins bought on the curve.
